US 'Anti-Terror' Law, 2001 = Blueprint to US State Terror
“The President is authorized to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons, in order to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States", 2001 AUMF
“The "PATRIOT ACT" is a repressive "coordination" of the entities of force and deception, the police, intelligence and the military. It broadens, centralizes and combines the surveillance, arrest and harassment capabilities of the police and intelligence apparatus. Homeland defense is, in essence, a form of state terrorism directed against the American people and democracy itself. It is the Pentagon Inc. declaring war on America." Frank Morales, 2003

"In 1991, Clark's Coalition to Stop US Intervention in the Middle East opposed the US-led war and sanctions against Iraq.[9] Clark accused the administration of President George H. W. Bush, J. Danforth Quayle, James Baker, Richard Cheney, William Webster, Colin Powell, Norman Schwarzkopf and "others to be named" of "crimes against peace, war crimes" and "crimes against humanity" for its conduct of the Gulf War against Iraq and the ensuing sanctions;
[10] in 1996, he added the charges of genocide and the "use of a weapon of mass destruction".[11] Similarly, after the 1999 NATO bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Ramsey charged and "tried" NATO on 19 counts and issued calls for its dissolution.[12]" Crucial: Ramsey Clark_Wikip

"It is a sign of true political power when a great people can determine, of its own will, the vocabulary, the terminology and the words, the very way of speaking, even the way of thinking, of other peoples." -- Carl Schmitt, 1932
"In 2010 (..) Washington Post reported that the national security state had swelled into a “fourth branch” of the federal government ― with 854,000 vetted officials, 263 security organizations, and over 3,000 intelligence units, issuing 50,000 special reports every year." Exploring the Shadows of the US Security State: How I Learned Not to Love Big Brother." ----- Professor Alfred McCoy, 2017
"...across the world the extinction and suffering of countless human beings could be attributed to rampant American power. "But," said Pinter, "You wouldn't know it. It never happened. Nothing ever happened. Even while it was happening it wasn't happening. It didn't matter. It was of no interest." Pinter's words were more than surreal. The BBC ignored the speech of Britain's most famous dramatist." -- John Pilger, 2007
BBC, in short, ensured that people did not know about the most important speech about the Western states' war crimes since 1945. In Pinter's own words: "You wouldn't know it. It never happened. Nothing ever happened. Even while it was happening it wasn't happening. It didn't matter. It was of no interest." -- Homo Sociologicus, 2017

"Recently, Dr. Udo Ulfkotte (former editor of Frankfurter Allegemeiner Zeitung) went on public television stating that he was forced to publish the works of intelligence agents under his own name, also adding that noncompliance with these orders would result in him losing his job: "I’ve been a journalist for about 25 years, and I was educated to lie, to betray, and not to tell the truth to the public." -- Arjun Walia, 2016

The Sociological Question: how can we explain Pinter's observation that Western states effectively blind people to the terror reality of US/Western foreign policy? The Answer: corporate powers control Western intel agencies and the 'information'. An army of vetted official agents, hired journalists and academics at universities and think tanks fabricate 'reports'. Basically, all Western academics and media accept these reports as if it was trustworthy information. Watch this one minute video that exposes 17 'US intel agencies' The Evidence: but... there is an insurmountable sociological problem, for the apparatus and all its implicated intel-and-hired-hands-and-non-critical-minded-useful-idiots-academics-journalists-and-neoliberal-politicians. That is, if one thinks about it:
For the apparatus’ very successes in mobilizing the Western peoples to applaud consecutive state war crimes on a Nuremberg scale with still less Western opposition and critique is unavoidable evidence of its totalitarian nature. Given that we now know that all the information was basically false on the former wars, and that there was no oppositional information in the public sphere, from academics, journalists or politicians, we must conclude that the Western states function as one great totalitarian apparatus. The British Parliament's Report on Libya (2016) concluded that basically all information leading up to and under the NATO war on Libya was false. We can also go back and check the information: there was No oppositional information then. This lays bare the truth: we now know that everbody talking about Libya then, all the politicians, academics and all the journalists were telling the same lies. There is simply no way of denying this. It is what Karl Kraus and Ludwig Wittgenstein would call a one-and-a-half-truth. Moreover, they have not changed information policy or sources since the war on Libya.
This problem applies to basically everything in the media: all journalists work for the corporate powers' agendas. So, they misinform Western peoples on all subjects from welfare to education to the systematic suppression of economic theory that can destroy neoliberalism ( MMT) etc.

“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country.” - Edward Bernays
1908: "We are in the hands of an organization of crooks. they are politicians, generals, manufacturers of armaments, and journalists. All of them are anxious for unlimited expenditure, and go on inventing scares to terrify the public and to terrify Ministers of the Crown." Lord Welby, 1908, in The Makers of War, 1950, Francis Neilson // Free Pdf "In 2010, almost a decade into this secret war with its voracious appetite for information, the Washington Post reported that the national security state had swelled into a “fourth branch” of the federal government ― with 854,000 vetted officials, 263 security organizations, and over 3,000 intelligence units, issuing 50,000 special reports every year." "...the growth of an unrepresentative and unaccountable state within the state has been a product of the twentieth century. Its growth was, paradoxically, actually aided by the unpopularity of security and policing agencies; forced by this into the lowest possible visibility, they learned to develop techniques of invisible influence and control. It was also aided by the British tradition of civil service neutrality: this sheltered senior civil servants from replacement or investigation when administrations changed, and afforded to their policies the legitimation of ’impartial, non-political’ intent." How CIA, Politicians, Academia & Media Blind People
From Asia to Latin American, Africa and the Middle East, the US/Western nations create, fund, arm and train proxy terrorist groups to create chaos and take over control of targeted nations. Western media and The Terrorism Industry of biased academic 'analysts' hide reality by suppressing the notion of 'state terror' and calling Western sponsored terrorist groups 'freedom fighters' (Ronald Reagan's term for the butchers in Nicaragua) or 'moderate rebels' in Syria today etc. This legitimizes arming them. Another part of CIA's Phoenix Program is to have (fund, arm, train and lead) 'scary organizations' like Al Qaeda, ISIS, Boko Haram etc. to legitimize NATO bomb targeted nations - pretending to bomb ISIS etc. This way they can both arm the terrorists and bomb for them, which they have done several times in Syria - just as the British Parliamentary Report concluded NATO did in Libya.
The CIA/NATO proxies terrorize the targeted nations and make false flags, where they provide the 'information' to the Western media - no questioins asked. To refer only three articles on Syria here, (See much more on, HS CIA Phoenix Program & HS Syria):
"... in the Syrian case fabricated news and one-sided reporting have taken over the news agenda to a degree probably not seen since the First World War. The ease with which propaganda can now be disseminated is frequently attributed to modern information technology: YouTube, smartphones, Facebook, Twitter. But this is to let mainstream media off the hook (..) The real reason that reporting of the Syrian conflict has been so inadequate is that Western news organisations have almost entirely outsourced their coverage to the rebel side." Who supplies the news?, Patrick Cockburn on misreporting in Syria and Iraq, February, 2017, London Review of Books
"... the notion that any serious investigatory body would allow Al Nusra to provide forensic evidence in support of an investigation where it is one of only two potential culprits is mindboggling, but that is precisely what has happened. (..) Mainstream American media outlets have willingly and openly embraced a narrative provided by Al Qaeda affiliates whose record of using chemical weapons in Syria and distorting and manufacturing “evidence” to promote anti-Assad policies in the west, including regime change, is well documented. These outlets have made a deliberate decision to endorse the view of Al Qaeda over a narrative provided by Russian and Syrian government authorities without any effort to fact check either position. These actions, however, do not seem to shock the conscience of the American public; when it comes to Syria, the mainstream American media and its audience has long ago ceded the narrative to Al Qaeda and other Islamist anti-regime elements." Wag The Dog — How Al Qaeda Played Donald Trump And The American Media, April, 2017, Scott Ritter (former UN arms inspector), Huffington Post
"It is clear that the programme's host, Ira Glass, was well aware of the US role in the Guatemalan genocide - he travelled to Central America and protested US war crimes in the region. And yet Glass chose not to mention his own country's deep involvement in the crimes." ' All Journalism Is 'Advocacy Journalism', MediaLens
"If this document had been published sooner, it could have dramatically changed the course of the war by exposing the true face of the “moderate rebels” — and potentially saved tens of thousands of lives. That didn’t happen, and no reason has been given by the Intercept for its delay. (..) The document proves, in essence, that the armed opposition in Syria – from the earlier years of the conflict – was under the direct command of foreign governments pushing for regime change.", The Intercept Withheld NSA Doc That May Have Altered Course Of Syrian War, 2017, by Whitney Webb
“Omission is the most powerful form of lie.” – George Orwell
"In a news report about the conflict in Syria by TV4, a Syrian woman was speaking about the US, which, oddly enough, was rendered as "Russia, Iran and the regime" in the accompanying subtitles. After a public outcry on social media, TV4 recognized its "mistake" while translating the woman's outspoken message from Arabic into Swedish." 'Russia' Instead of 'US': Swedish TV Caught Peddling Fake News on Syria, Apr 2018
"At the end of 2013, the British took over the task of war propaganda. They had a long experience in that sector, and are considered to have invented modern propaganda during the first World War, with the Office of War Propaganda. One of the characteristics of their method is to rely on artists, because aesthetics tend to neutralise critical thinking. In 1914, they recruited the great authors of the time – like Arthur Conan Doyle, H.G. Wells and Rudyard Kipling – to publish texts which attributed imaginary crimes to their German enemy. (..) Thierry Meyssan takes a look at the use of children by the International Coalition during the war against Syria.", For London, Propaganda Is an Art. Attributing Imaginary Crimes to Their Enemies, 2016, Voltaire
"Why do politicians so easily get away with telling lies? In large part, because the news media are more interested in bonding with politicians than in exposing them. Americans are encouraged to believe that the media will serve as a check and a balance on the government. Instead, the press too often volunteer as unpaid pimps, helping politicians deceive the public." How the Media Enables Government Lies, 2009, J Bovard
"The really scary characters are our soberest politicians, scholars, journalists, professionals, and managers, men and women (though mostly men) who imagine themselves as morally serious, and then enable the wars, devastate the planet, and rationalize the atrocities." ' The Terror of Our Age', 2016, Greg Grandin
"The words "mistake" and "blunder" are common BBC news currency, along with "failure"-- which at least suggests that if the deliberate, calculated, unprovoked, illegal assault on defenseless Iraq had succeeded, that would have been just fine. (..) That the CIA had supported Osama Bin Laden was ignored, that the Clinton administration had secretly backed the Taliban, even giving them high-level briefings at the CIA, is virtually unknown in the United States." The invisible government, 2007, John Pilger / (Film link )
"We have wondered why it was that Dr. Savimbi's UNITA in Angloa and the Contras in Nicaragua were 'freedom fighters, lionized by...Reagan...whereas our liberation movements such as the African National Congress...were invariably castigated as 'terrorist movements'.. We had our suspicions that there was a coherent, wellthought-out policy by the West to exercise a selective morality.. This book confirms our suspicions.. the 'terrorism industry has been very much needed in the West as a cover for its own activities and crimes'...- Archibishop Desmond Tutu: " The "Terrorism" Industry, 1990, by Edward S. Herman
"[Orwell] noted, “political language has to consist largely of euphemism, question-begging and sheer cloudy vagueness.” Orwell provided some examples: “Defenseless villages are bombarded from the air, the inhabitants driven out into the countryside, the cattle machinegunned, the huts set on fire with incendiary bullets: this is called pacification.” This type of “phraseology is needed if one wants to name things without calling up mental pictures of them.” Today, we use words like counterinsurgency and counterterrorism to describe virtually the same processes. (...) to justify war and atrocities based upon our ‘humanitarian’ interests and ‘values.’" Political Language & the 'Mafia Principles' of International Relations. Empire Under Obama', 2013
"It is the function of defense intellectuals and other experts, and the mainstream media, to normalize the unthinkable for the general public. The late Herman Kahn spent a lifetime making nuclear war palatable (On Thermonuclear War, Thinking About the Unthinkable), and this strangelovian phoney got very good press. (..) Lisa Peattie described how in the Nazi death camps work was "normalized" for the long-term prisoners as well as regular personnel..." Normalizing the Unthinkable, Edward S Herman

"American author Mark Twain wasn’t fooled by the jingoistic broadsheets, nor by the administration’s claims of support for Cubans, nor by its claims to want to bring democracy to the Philippines (). Twain said, “…we have gone there to conquer, not to redeem”. [But] The imperial machine marches on, like W.H. Auden’s driveling ogre, subjugating nation after nation that attempt any sort of freethinking alternative to indentured servitude to the globalists. The tactics of the state and the machinations of the media are little different than they were in 1898. Both seek to cloud the clarity of imperial crimes behind a façade of moral necessity." CIA Works for Corporate Powers - the so-called 'Deep State'
For example: "The CIA recruited the Muslim Brotherhood to fight a proxy war against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan, which led to the withdrawal of the Soviets from the Hindu Kush. Since then, the CIA used the mercenaries to fight more proxy wars in the Balkans, Chechnya, and Azerbaijan. Due to the wars of aggression against Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen the US and its vassal states created sectarian violence that led to civil wars. Right now, the CIA and the Muslim Brotherhood are present in the form of ISIS in Syria and Iraq." 'US Empire, CIA, and the NGO's, Watzal & Engdahl, 2017

The Banality of Western Corporate Powers' Foreign Policy'
" Kucinich recommends we “look at the foreign policy establishment of the United States of America” that, he explains, includes people in the State Department who have a neoconservative ideology, in the Pentagon who are dedicated to the military-industrial complex, and in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) who can “conjure conflicts” and “try to justify the further involvement of the military and the State Department.” This, Kucinich says, “is the permanent government ..." Dennis Kucinich Discusses the ‘Permanent Government’ Behind US Foreign Intervention, Nov 2017
"With the disappearance of the USSR, there remained no state in the world capable of military confrontation with the United States, and thus even less with NATO. At this point, it should have disappeared, but nothing of the sort happened. First of all, a new enemy sprang into being – terrorism...." The twilight of NATO, 2016 Meyssan
CIA's way to stop the questions: 'are you a conspiracy theorist?'
"In the United States today, the phrase `conspiracy theory' functions as a sort of giant cudgel, used to scare us out of talking openly about a broad (and ever-growing) range of scandals that the powerful cannot afford to let the people comprehend. In this new book, David Ray Griffin takes devastating aim at that repressive tactic, exposing it for what it really is. All those who cherish democracy, and intellectual freedom, owe it to themselves to read this brave analysis---and owe its author their sincerest thanks." --- Mark Crispin Miller (Professor of Culture and Communication, New York University) on: Cognitive Infiltration: An Obama Appointee's Plan to Undermine the 9/11 Conspiracy Theory, 2010, David Ray Griffin
"... this is a very serious work, because it heads off a dangerous and frightening attempt by a high official of the United States government to promote illegal and even unconstitutional acts on behalf of his government in order to protect it from inconvenient citizen inquiry and investigation." E. Woodworth Reviews Cognitive Infiltration
"In an article published in the Journal of Political Philosophy Sunstein and Vermeule propose that the government and its allies infiltrate groups that promote conspiracy theories deemed (somehow) to be “demonstrably false.” They take conspiracy theories about September 11 as their “running example.” Sunstein now heads up the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, and has been described by Elena Kagan as “the pre-eminent legal scholar of our time”." Hagen Reviews Cognitive Infiltration
Needless to say, CIA's 'Conspiracy' meme is effective. It is clear that the smear of being 'a communist' has been replaced with being 'a conspiracy theorist' to be ridiculed - or interrogated. But, everyone who uses the words 'Conspiracy Theory' on critical questions helps the CIA suppress everybody - including himself - from taking seriously the very questions that could expose CIA, the 'deep state' activity and our governments' criminal actions.
Think of a few historical facts. 1) WW1 and WW2 were institaged by big business, see HS page. 2) The nazis invented propaganda on an industrial scale (according to the German philosopher Ernst Cassirer), where they became experts in the most cynical use of false information, conspiracy politics and false flag operations (committing a crime and blame an innocent part). Goebbels' philosophy of propaganda is curriculum in the US intel agencies. 3) A large number of nazis went to USA after the war to join US intel agencies. 4) The recent NATO wars were led by a totalitarian information uniformity given up to and during the wars, by the Western politicians, 'think tanks', academics and journalists. The fact that we know today that the info on these wars was (incredibly) false is historical evidence that they lied - all of them. But, the conspiracy meme is holding us down. See HS pages on former wars. History, logic and critical thinking are fascism's worst enemies. The truth is that the Western world's foreign politics has never been more 'conspirational' orchestred. And that this is still made possible by suppressing the most urgent critical questions and responsibilities.
CIA's Infiltration and Control of Academia and the Media
Critical thinking has been systematically suppressed in the US and Europe for decades. Pierre Bourdieu's warning is of little avail today, that the concerted assault on critical thought in the eighties and nineties is a great danger for our democracies. We have gained still more ‘totalitarian’ Western states. So, we have to realize the systematic truth of the matter, enlighten it and go against it. Don't forget the very useful academic idiots (lacking the skills to understand it all), who voluntarily defend the establishment by writing ridiculing texts about 'conspiracy theorists’ etc.
"Dr. Ulfkotte says the corruption of journalists and major news outlets by the CIA is routine, accepted, and widespread in the western media, and that journalists who do not comply either cannot get jobs at any news organization, or find their careers cut short. "Operation Mockingbird is a CIA project to subvert the original mission of the news media, to control corporate media for its own purposes. The existence of such projects should explain the rationale of this website." Wikispooks (..) "[it] began in the 1950's and was organized by Allen Dulles and Cord Meyer. The CIA spent today's equivalent of one billion dollars a year hiring journalists from Corporate Media including CBS, The New York Times, ABC, NBC, Newsweek, Associated Press and others, to promote their point of view. The original operation reportedly involved some 3,000 CIA operatives and hired over 400 journalists."
Frances S. Saunders, Who Paid the Piper: The CIA and the Cultural Cold War (1999): "This book provides a detailed account of the ways in which the CIA penetrated and influenced a vast array of cultural organizations, through its front groups and via friendly philanthropic organizations like the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations. (..) Saunders, details how and why the CIA ran cultural congresses, mounted exhibits, and organized concerts. The CIA also published and translated well-known authors who toed the Washington line, sponsored abstract art to counteract art with any social content and, throughout the world, subsidized journals that criticized Marxism, communism, and revolutionary politics and apologized for, or ignored, violent and destructive imperialist U.S. policies. The CIA was able to harness some of the most vocal exponents of intellectual freedom in the West in service of these policies, to the extent that some intellectuals were directly on the CIA payroll. (..) It is impossible to believe their claims of ignorance of CIA ties. (..) How could they ignore the absence, during their cultural congresses, of criticism of U.S. imperialist intervention in Guatemala, Iran, Greece, and Korea that led to millions of deaths? How could they ignore the gross apologies of every imperialist crime of their day in the journals in which they wrote? (..) The idea behind [it all] was to showcase U.S. culture, in order to gain cultural hegemony to support its military-economic empire." James Petras review in MR, 1999
"The International Organizations Division was a division of the CIA set up in 1950 to promote anti-communism[1] by manipulating international psychological warfare operations. Its first head was Tom Braden. The IOD operated according to the same principles that guided Wisner's management of the Non-Communist Left. The purpose of supporting leftist groups was not to destroy or even to dominate, but rather to maintain a discreet proximity to and monitor the thinking of such groups; to provide them with a mouthpiece so that they could blow off steam; and, in extremis, to exercise a final veto on their publicity and possibly their actions if they ever got too 'radical'. Braden issued clear instructions to his newly established IOD posts in Europe: 'Limit the money to amounts private organisations can credibly spend; disguise the extent of American interest; protect the integrity of the organisation by not requiring it to support every aspect of official American policy." Thompson called it the ‘Natopolitan’ world: that is, not just Nato plus all the Cold War military and political institutions that were integral to it, but also a mentality whose web extended over a lot more activity and thought, even in the minds of individuals, than anyone at the time had suspected. Of course there were the revelations in the mid-Sixties about Encounter and the CIA, and later in the US and Britain a stream of disclosures about covert counter-insurgency in every form, from secretly underwritten academic research to assassinations and mass killings. Yet it still gives me an eerie feeling to read about people like George Orwell, Stephen Spender and Raymond Aron, to say nothing of less admirable characters of the Melvin Lasky stripe, taking part in surreptitiously subsidised anti-Communist ventures – magazines, symphony orchestras, art exhibitions – or in the setting up of foundations in the name of ‘freedom’ and ‘democracy’ (..) One of the rare dissenters, Charles Burton Marshall, is quoted here as saying that this bizarre operation to ‘counter Communism’ by trying ‘to break down ... doctrinaire thought patterns’ and anti-American attitudes throughout the world was ‘just about as totalitarian as one can get’." The Path to Destroy Western Rational Civilization: 'Behemoth'?
I think that we are approaching the same form of chaotic 'behemoth' states, that the CIA usually install in nations that they want to control and 'regime change'. The social scientist Franz Neumann explained nazi Germany as Behemoth: The Structure and Practice of National Socialism, 1933-1944, where the fundamental values of Western civilization were betrayed and corrupted: " The Nazi organization of society involved the collapse of traditional ideas of the state, of ideology, of law, and even of any underlying rationality." The CIA's Phoenix Program "preys on chaos", in John F. Kennedy's words. It seems that the CIA preys still more on the Western states, so that Neumann's description becomes still more accurate for our situation: where we experience illegal wars, made on false information supported by instutions that we used to trust (more) such as the UN, Amnesty International etc.; where people don't know who and what to trust; where political Corruption and lies flourish and the responsible politicians are not made responsible for illegal actions. The US leads the way with its completely corrupted political system, finance system, law system and media system.
Sympthomatically, 9/11, the greatest crime in newer American history was not only not properly examined. The third tower's similar collapse without any planes entering the building was never broadcast in the mainstream media. And the evidence from the third tower was shipped away to China, so no-one could examine it. The great US war criminal, Henry Kissinger was made head of the commission to investigate. Public outrage caused Kissinger to decline. Instead, a surreal manifesto was implemented, when Philip D. Zelikow replaced Kissinger as the executive in charge of what went in, and what didn't go into the 9/11 report. Zelikow was close to Condaleeza Rice, GW Bush's National Security Advisor, having coauthored a book with her. He is also known to have been a specialist in Public Myth Making. Excerpt from Wikip on Zelikow: "While at Harvard, he worked with Ernest May and Richard Neustadt on the use, and misuse, of history in policymaking. They observed, as Zelikow noted in his own words, that "contemporary" history is "defined functionally by those critical people and events that go into forming the public's presumptions about its immediate past. The idea of 'public presumption'," he explained, "is akin to William McNeill's notion of 'public myth' but without the negative implication sometimes invoked by the word 'myth.' Such presumptions are beliefs (1) thought to be true (although not necessarily known to be true with certainty), and (2) shared in common within the relevant political community." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_D._Zelikow The commission's report refutes physics as a science and simply do not mention the third 'Tower 7'.
No Western politician, academic or journalist ever talk about the the US Council of Foreign Relations' and the CIA's dirty role in destroying democracies, except at best in past tense. All politicians, academics and journalists help suppress the truth about all the CIA´/corporate funded fronts around the world that spread false information; all our 'naive' public actors also, systematically and always, suppress any mentioning of the ' Phoenix Programme', where CIA fund, train, arm and help proxi terrorists to subvert states all over the world. But the US/Western nations have been behind the very terror organizations, that we have been told, that our nations are fighting. For the past forty years. From (at least) Vietnam to Al Qaeda and ISIS. So the most critically important aspect of Western 'foreign policy' is literally un-thinkable for the Western peoples. It is a fact.
We have the Swedish Court's word for it that the US is behind ISIS. Perhaps most convincingly explained in a 2015 article in the Guardian, by former Guardian editor Seumas Milne (who now works for Jeremy Corbyn): Now the truth emerges: how the US fuelled the rise of Isis in Syria and Iraq. Western intel agencies also hep with the recruitment of young men from Western nations, where an agency like MI5 has systematically overruled the British police's work against such recruitment. See HS on the subject. The worst part is possible that the Western corporate power, who de-facto control Western intel agencies might be complicit in terror incidents inside Western states, so-called 'false flag operations' ( Operation Gladio in Europe is a historical fact) and/or be satisfied with home coming warriers that commit terror in Europe. Why? Because it suits the corporate power relations' agenda of a still more fearful and suppressed population and a still more developed police state. Former CIA Ray McGovern says that US presidents fear the CIA. And it is a fact that CIA recently tapped the UC Congress, where the director Brennan lied under oath about it. Brennan has not been charged with any wrongdoing, to my knowledge. In fact, he feels entitled to use his status to problematize the new president Trump as if he is a moral authority.
The Corrupt/Criminal American Police and Law Enforcement
"The 214-page report, “Illusion of Justice: Human Rights Abuses in US Terrorism Prosecutions,” examines 27 federal terrorism cases from initiation of the investigations to sentencing and post-conviction conditions of confinement. (..) - The US Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have targeted American Muslims in abusive counterterrorism “sting operations” based on religious and ethnic identity, Human Rights Watch and Columbia Law School’s Human Rights Institute said in a report released today. Many of the more than 500 terrorism-related cases prosecuted in US federal courts since September 11, 2001, have alienated the very communities that can help prevent terrorist crimes." 2014, US: Terrorism Prosecutions Often An Illusion
A groundbreaking work of investigative journalism, The Terror Factory: Inside the FBI's Manufactured War on Terrorism (013) exposes how the FBI has, under the guise of engaging in counterterrorism since 9/11, built a network of more than 15,000 informants whose primary purpose is to infiltrate Muslim communities to create and facilitate phony terrorist plots so that the Bureau can then claim it is winning the war on terror. (..) reveals shocking information about the criminals, con men, and liars the FBI uses as paid informants (..) as well as documenting the extreme methods the FBI uses to ensnare Muslims in terrorist plots, which are in reality conceived and financed by the FBI. The book also offers unprecedented detail into how the FBI has transformed from a reactive law enforcement agency to a proactive counterterrorism organization that traps hapless individuals in manufactured terrorist plots in order to justify the $3 billion it spends every year fighting terrorism." The Terror Factory, Amazon
Glen Greenwald explains: "The known facts from this latest case seem to fit well within a now-familiar FBI pattern whereby the agency does not disrupt planned domestic terror attacks but rather creates them, then publicly praises itself for stopping its own plots." The corporate media play along: "The DOJ’s press release predictably generated an avalanche of scary media headlines hailing the FBI. CNN: “FBI says plot to attack U.S. Capitol was ready to go.” MSNBC: “US terror plot foiled by FBI arrest of Ohio man.” Wall St. Journal: “Ohio Man Charged With Plotting ISIS-Inspired Attack on U.S. Capitol”." Greenwald quotes a judge ruling: "The federal judge presiding over his case, Colleen McMahon, repeatedly lambasted the government for wholly manufacturing the plot. (..) The Government indisputably “manufactured” the crimes of which defendants stand convicted. The Government invented all of the details of the scheme (..) The Government funded the entire project. And the Government, through its agent, offered the defendants large sums of money, contingent on their participation in the heinous scheme. (..) offering a jihadist opportunity to a man who had no contact with any extremist groups and no history of anything other than drug crimes." Greenwald writes: "In 2012, Petra Bartosiewicz in The Nation reviewed the post-9/11 body of terrorism cases and concluded: 'Nearly every major post-9/11 terrorism-related prosecution has involved a sting operation, at the center of which is a government informant. In these cases, the informants — who work for money or are seeking leniency on criminal charges of their own — have crossed the line from merely observing potential criminal behavior to encouraging and assisting people to participate in plots that are largely scripted by the FBI itself. Under the FBI’s guiding hand, the informants provide the weapons, suggest the targets and even initiate the inflammatory political rhetoric that later elevates the charges to the level of terrorism.'
9/11 and the Anthrax 'terror' used to destroy US constitutional rights
"The Patriot Act drove a stake through the heart of the Bill of Rights, violating at least six of the 10 original amendments — the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Amendments—and possibly the Thirteenth and Fourteenth Amendments, as well. The Patriot Act also redefined terrorism so broadly that many non-terrorist political activities such as protest marches, demonstrations and civil disobedience were considered potential terrorist acts, thereby rendering anyone desiring to engage in protected First Amendment expressive activities as suspects of the surveillance state." Renewing the Patriot Act While America Sleeps, 2011, J Whitehead, Huffington Post
"Under the Patriot Act and NDAA, any notion of due process has been shredded for US citizens, and of course the situation is beyond mad when considering the psychopathic torture carried out at Bagram AFB outside Kabul, Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay, and the globe-spanning “rendition archipelago” which has to be assumed is still ongoing, despite Obama’s past-tense use of the phrase “we tortured some folks”, spoken back in 2014." The Great Unraveling, Dec. 2017, W Hawes
US law making is now extremism itself: "Prior to this decade, only extremists believed that the president should be permitted to order the assassination of American citizens — with no attempt to arrest or try the suspected wrongdoer. Yet, President Obama recently officially made this the national policy. Time and again, the U.S. government has adopted policies that only extremists advocated a few years earlier. And yet, no one is supposed to think that the government has become the biggest extremist of them all." The Slippery Definition of Extremism, 2010, J. Bovard. The 'anti-terror law' after 9/11 is effectively a blueprint for US governments to ignore all laws and do as it please around the world:
“The President is authorized to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons, in order to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States", 2001 AUMF
"The Information Awareness Office (IAO) was established by the United States Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in January 2002 to bring together several DARPA projects focused on applying surveillance and information technology to track and monitor terrorists and other asymmetric threats to U.S. national security by achieving "Total Information Awareness" (TIA). Information Awareness Office, Wikipedia
"On the Patriot Act's suppression of dissent rather than terrorism (p.199) "At first blush, invoking the Patriot Act contradicted its objectives. However, on closer examination, prosecuting political defendants like me leverages the law to its most logical purpose. The act creates a legal framework to interrupt individual questioning of the government in power. The Patriot Act equates terrorism with any civil disobedience that challenges government policy. Both are cast in the category of Sedition. Using that line of reasoning, the Patriot Act applies the same tools to smash political dissention that Congress intended to interrupt the workings of terrorist cells... (..) Free thinking leads to criticism of government policy. Criticism must be treated as a threat to the functioning of the State, and crushed when necessary to protect the elite. In short, the Patriot Act lays a road to the Gulags. Most Americans don't understand -- yet -- that it creates a judicial framework for fascism, and the beginning of all dictatorship in America." From review of - Extreme Prejudice: The Terrifying Story of the Patriot Act and the Cover Ups of 9/11 and Iraq, 2010, Susan Lindauer -
Amazon description of Extreme Prejudice: "What if the government decided to invent a great lie to justify a disastrous war? What would happen to the people who know the truth? Extreme Prejudice delivers an explosive, high tension expose of the real facts surrounding the CIA's advance warning of 9/11 and an insider's look at Iraqi pre-war intelligence, told by one of the very few US assets covering Iraq before the war. It reveals the depths of deception by leaders in Washington and London to promote a successful image of their terrorism policy, and the shocking brutality to suppress the truth of their failures from Americans and the world community."
Praise for 9/11 Ten Years Later: When State Crimes against Democracy Succeed, 2012, by David Ray Griffin: "Why yet another book on 9/11? Because, as David Ray Griffin points out clearly and persuasively, 9/11 continues to be not only the greatest crime in American history, but also the most strenuously covered up, and certainly the crime with the greatest political consequences. He shows how over a decade the events of 9/11 and the reports on them have been used to attack the American democratic system. Above all, he documents the success of this attack by the refusal of the media, the academy, and religious institutions to openly discuss these matters, and by the numbers of critics who at one extreme have made fools of themselves in echoing the Orwellian official version, and at the other extreme have been either fired or silenced after their dissent from it." Peter Dale Scott, poet, former Canadian diplomat, professor at the University of California (Berkeley), and author of American War Machine
And the above 'developments' only add to the US federal state agencies' tradition of corrupt policies: "President Trump’s firing of FBI chief James Comey last May spurred much of the media to rally around America’s most powerful domestic federal agency. But the FBI has a long record of both deceit and incompetence. Five years ago, Americans learned that the FBI was teaching its agents that “the FBI has the ability to bend or suspend the law to impinge on the freedom of others.” This has practically been the Bureau’s motif since its creation in 1908. (..) After the debacle of the Palmer raids, the bureau devoted its attention to the nation’s real enemies: the U.S. Congress. The bureau targeted “senators whom the Attorney General saw as threats to America. The Bureau was breaking into their offices and homes, intercepting their mail, and tapping their telephones,” as Tim Weiner recounted in his 2012 book Enemies: The History of the FBI. The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee was illegally targeted because the bureau feared he might support diplomatic recognition of Soviet Russia. Hoover, who ran the FBI from 1924 until his death in 1972, built a revered agency that utterly intimidated official Washington. The FBI tapped the home telephone of a Supreme Court clerk, and at least one Supreme Court Justice feared the FBI had bugged the conference room where justices privately discussed cases. In 1945, President Harry Truman wrote in his diary, “We want no Gestapo or Secret Police. FBI is tending in that direction…. This must stop.” But Truman did not have the gumption to pull in the reins. The bureau’s power soared after Congress passed the Internal Security Act of 1950, authorizing massive crackdowns on suspected subversives. Hoover compiled a list of more than 20,000 “potentially or actually dangerous” Americans who could be seized and locked away at the president’s command. (..) From 1956 through 1971, the FBI’s COINTELPRO program conducted thousands of covert operations to incite street warfare between violent groups, to get people fired, to portray innocent people as government informants, and to cripple or destroy left-wing, black, communist, white racist, and anti-war organizations."
